REGOLAMENTO AWARD CIELO D’ALCAMO
The Circle ARS di Alcamo TP01 “IQ9QL” in collaborazione con i circoli ARS IQ8UN – IQ8NQ – IQ7QK, ha istituito l’award “Cielo D’Alcamo” in memoria del famoso poeta Ciullo D’Alcamo (detto anche Cielo D’Alcamo). Lo scopo del diploma è di far conoscere cultura e tradizioni della nostra terra e nella collaborazione di noi O.M. to carry forward the passion that binds us "The Radio".
Regulation
The award is open to all O.M., Y.L. and SWL Italians and foreigners, ha inizio il 06/11/2016 from 9:00 UTC and ends on 13/11/2016 to 23:59 UTC.
• The operating bands in HF are: 80mt, 40mt e 20mt
• The Operating modes are: SSB e PSK
• The call with activators: CQ AWARD CIELO D’ALCAMO
• The same station may be worked only once per day per band and mode
• The stations will activators CALL, RST e punteggio
• Each connection with the members of the Circle of Alcamo (IT9FZX – IT9FAF – IT9JGX – IT9NVE) vale 5 points
• Each connection with the sections (IQ9QL – IQ8UN – IQ8NQ – IQ7QK) vale 10 points
• The total score will be determined by the sum of points

Cielo d’Alcamo, un tempo conosciuto anche come Ciullo d’Alcamo, was an Italian poet and playwright. È uno dei più significativi rappresentanti della poesia popolare giullaresca della scuola siciliana.
Cielo fu attivo nella metà del XIII secolo. Si afferma che Ciullo (presunto diminutivo di Vincenzullo o richiamo volgare e grottesco tipico nei nomi giullareschi) sia una deformazione accolta dalla critica ottocentesca, e da essa passata a numerosi testi stranieri. Per altri il nome deriverebbe da Cheli (diminutivo di Michele, nome molto diffuso in Sicilia), da cui sarebbe poi derivato Celi e in seguito, in Toscana, Cielo. La teoria più accreditata è che Cielo sia la versione italiana di Chelo, diminutivo spagnolo per il nome “Marcelo”. Incerto anche il secondo nome, d’Alcamo (da Alcamo cittadina siciliana), Dal Camo, Dalcamo. Analysis of the text can be deduced that the author was Sicilian, and not at all devoid of culture.
